Salt River Engagement Session – M&C

When Micah & Charlie reached out about an engagement session & mentioned that they both loved Salt River, suggesting that we plan to shoot near the rafting kick-off spot, I was beyond ecstatic & quickly asked them to bring their bathing suits. I was met with an enthusiastic, “Heck yes!” from both of them & knew immediately that these two would be my new favorite people.

We talked a little bit about the kinds of photos they were looking for. Micah had already set up a Pinterest board (God bless her), so we looked through the photos & discussed all of the pretty things we could bring to enhance the photos (flowers, blankets, etc). I jokingly warned Charlie that I would be bringing lots of energy to this shoot, but it was his job to be as cuddly & goofy & spontaneous as possible… I may have even suggested picking Micah up & throwing her into the water at points in the shoot. He laughed loudly & beamed at her, like he was already looking forward to it. She elbowed him in the chest. Basically, they were perfect for this kind of adventure engagement session!

They chose to go with the Pine collection & we met at the entrance to the river at sunset a few weeks later.

OH MY GOODNESS. This shoot was one for the books. I’ve laughed, cried, & shrieked with excitement while editing these photos. I cannot believe that I am finally getting to post them for the rest of you to enjoy. (We took over 2000 photos & I returned 500 of them, fully edited. That is how many of these photos turned out BEAUTIFUL. They range from full on goofball-crazy-candids to hot & steamy, black & white, kinda-sorta grainy, super artsy photos. I think you’ll love them.)
