Emily & Cristian Moga Wedding – June 2019
(Why do I HIGHLY recommend doing a bridal shoot?? Stay tuned 😉)
Some stories are best told from an outside perspective.
If you had come to Cristian & Emily’s wedding without knowing a thing about the couple (so basically, you are now a wedding crasher. congratulations!), you would have seen a couple that was beyond in love. Throughout the day, they cared for each other, protected each other, and loved one another relentlessly in little moments & actions before, during, & after the ceremony.
You don’t have to know them to comprehend the depths of their love. I’m sure you can feel it through the photographs. 😉
If you had been at Cristian & Emily’s wedding, you would have seen our beautiful woman of the hour, Emily. This queen of a bride, (who orchestrated her wedding between the chaos of taking senior year finals and did her own makeup for the wedding date) in the middle of doing her own eyeshadow and mascara, stopped suddenly to ask, “How is Cristian? Is he nervous? Is he excited? Does he need anything?”
If you had crashed the Moga wedding, you would have seen Cristian writing a love letter to Emily on a piano behind the church, desperately attempting to come up with words to describe his devotion & affection for his bride-to-be. They traded letters before they even saw each other, showering the other in comforting words in anticipation for the moments to come.
If you had seen the Moga wedding without knowing anything about the Moga family, you would have seen the mamas of both families laughing & crying, sharing in the fountain of love that these two have created. The fathers of both families shook hands and hugged, celebrating the union of the people that they love the most in the whole world.
If you had visited the Moga wedding & said hello to the bride & groom, you would have sensed something incredible. All of their friends & family that had come to celebrate with them were BEYOND EXCITED to see this little family begin. Their wedding day was the biggest, most perfect celebration of their love, as they were completely surrounded by those who loved them.
That is one of the biggest perks of a ginormous, traditional wedding – all of your closest people will get to be a part of this momentous occasion. Nobody has to miss out!
If you were to join the Moga wedding reception, you would have seen the sweetest Father-Daughter dancing. You would have seen Cristian sweep Emily off her feet, making her laugh every other second. You would have seen Emily’s father and uncles and cousins come to bless the relationship and officially invite Cristian into the family.
Finally, the best part: the BRIDAL SHOOT.
Because their big day was so eventful, we only had time for a few sweet moments between Emily & Cristian before they had to rush off to party with their folks! This is pretty typical of a wedding day, but it doesn’t mean that it has to stay that way.
Instead, we planned an adventurous bridal shoot to showcase who they really are: goofy, relaxed, & totally-in-love. We drove out to the desert to show off their wedding attire & get a little dirty in the dunes after they returned from their honeymoon!!
THIS is why I ALWAYS recommend a bridal shoot. Your wedding day is planned to be EXCITING & FULL of time to celebrate your new life together! However, all of the planned time can take away from the time you get to spend TOGETHER.
So, we plan a bridal shoot. We go out to somewhere BEAUTIFUL. We choose a place for just the two of you. You can finally stop & soak in the fact that you are now ACTUALLY MARRIED! This mini-adventure should be the beginning of a lifetime of experiences with your best friend, & the goal is to kick it off in the best way possible! Whether that means jumping on a plane to visit a new country & taking your photographer to capture the memories or adventuring a little deeper into the heart of your hometown, the goal is to feel closer to your best friend than ever before!
Don’t let the wedding details bring you away from this intimate time with your person. Trust me, the memories that you take away from your bridal shoot will stay with you for the rest of your life! It’s 110% worth it.
